01The challenge
Training was delivered through N disconnected systems. Learners could not see their own progress, managers could not see their teams’, and certification data was re-keyed by hand.
02The approach
A single learning platform with a clean integration layer: identity federated with the organisation’s SSO, enrolment driven by HR events, and certificates issued and verified through one service.
03Architecture
A modular .NET platform behind an API gateway, with an event-driven integration layer towards HR and identity systems. Read-heavy pages cached at the edge; reporting served from a separate read model.
04My contribution
Owned the target architecture and integration contracts, led the engineering team, and ran the phased rollout.
Context
Many systems, no single story
Every department had solved its own training problem, and each solution worked — on its own. The cost appeared at the seams: duplicate records, manual exports and reports nobody trusted.
